He was predeceased by: his parents, John Andrew and Leah Quarles Hammond. He is survived by: his wife Shirley Eanes Hammond; his children, Jeff Hammond of Roanoke, Ed Hammond (Kate) of Christiansburg and Connie Beekman (Chip) of Powhatan; his grandchildren, Isaac Hammond, Adam Hammond, Jennifer Hammond, Dagny Hammond, Jeffrey Hammond, Doug Beekman and Dustin Beekman (Amber); and his great grandchildren, Maddox Beekman, Taylor Beekman and Chesney Beekman.
