He was predeceased by: his brother Thomas W. Barden, Sr.; and his nephew Thomas W. Barden, Jr.. He is survived by: his wife Karen Barden; his mother Barbara Barden; and his siblings, Vickie Maxey (John), Lawrence Barden (Barbara) and Kenneth Barden (Wanda).

In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions be made to Powhatan Rescue Squad, P.O. Box 247, Powhatan, VA 23139.
