He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Edward Minter, Sr. and May Benner Minter; his wife Shirley Barlow Minter; his siblings, Rev. Allen Minter, Charles Minter, Jr. (Barbara), Flora Graham and Corrine Spencer (Willis); and his siblings-in-law, Francis Barlow Sr. (Ethel), Lewis Barlow (Verna), Henry Barlow, Ray Barlow, Leona Carter (Robert), Dorothy Bullock, Iola Utz (Ken), Demple Barlow and Helen Minter.
He is survived by: his children, Roger (Tessa) and Tina Platz (Bobby); his grandchildren, Chris Hicks (Kaitlyn), Evan Minter, Lindsey Edwards (Ross), Ryan Minter, Jay Platz (Mary) and Danielle Platz; his great grandchildren, Mackenzie Hicks, Layla Sale, Dylan Edwards, Nora Edwards and Noah Platz; his brother Richard Minter; and his siblings-in-law, Anthony Barlow (Evelyn), Nancy Barlow and Betty Ann Barlow.
