With heavy hearts, we announce the death of James F. Babcock Jr. (Powhatan, Virginia), who passed away on March 13, 2024 at the age of 81. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, James Babcock and Thelma Babcock; and his great grandchild Desiree Taylor. He is survived by: his wife Charlotte Babcock; his sister Betty Seaver Tate; his aunt Elane Joyce; his daughter Annette Steffenhagen Jeannie (Irvin); and his grandchildren, Stephanie Steffenhagen (Nathan), Sarah Bell Samantha (David), Thomas Shaver Amanda (Tiffany), William "Rooster" Babcock (Chastity), Mindy Moore (Matt), James Babcock, Jonathan Babcock Brittany Carter (Kaitlyn), Katie Carter and Laura Carter.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to St. Jude which was one of Jimmy's favorite charities.
