He is survived by: his son Herman, Jr.; his daughter-in-law Johnnie; his granddaughters, Madison and Chloe; his daughter Tammy; his sons-in-law, Simon, Marshmallow and Blossom; and his siblings, Terry, Dorothy, Ruby, Oleta, Janet and Bobbie Jo.
The family asks instead of sending gifts or flowers, they are encouraged to make a memorial donation in his name to the American Heart Association.
