He was predeceased by: his mother Mary Horning; and his siblings, Joyce Adkinson, James Edward Horning and Tommy Horning. He is survived by: his wife Nancy Horning; his children, Joel Horning (Lindsay) and Karen Engard; his grandchildren, Nicole Aycock (Derek), Leila Horning and Luke Horning; his great grandchildren, Georgia Aycock and Emerson Aycock; and his siblings, Evelyn Butler, Dolores Smith and Jerry Horning (Jerri). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Wildlife Foundation of Virginia.
