With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Frederick Warren Boatwright of Powhatan, Virginia, who passed away on December 27, 2020 at the age of 85. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, James Junious and Minnie Boatwright; and his siblings, Virginia Pflueger, Mildred Boatwright, Joyce Johnson, Shirley Berman and James Boatwright.

He is survived by: his wife Ruth Boatwright; his children, Leslie Lingenfelser (Buzz) of Blacksburg, Dennis Boatwright (Lori Ann) of Powhatan and Amy Potter (Michael) of Powhatan; his grandchildren, Brandon, Jordan Lingenfelser, Gracie Boatwright, Ladonna Sewell, William and Charlie Potter; and his great grandchildren, Tyler, Sophia, Callen, Mason and Reed. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the War Memorial Cultural Arts and Community Center in Powhatan.
