He is survived by: his wife Dee Hubbard; his children, Cynthia Holder, Dawn Carlyle, Verna Mitteer, Deanna Struk, Wade Carmichael, Dan Carmichael and Paul Carmichael; his stepchildren, Karen G Boswell and Daniel J. Gavin, Jr.; and his siblings, Vernelle Chiocca and Everette "Ike" Carmichael. He is also survived by nine grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren.
