She was predeceased by: her husband Shirley Lewis Dowdy; her son Lewis Michael Dowdy; her grandson Shane Wood; her parents, Eddie Clay and Irene Parrish; and her siblings, Primo Parrish, Gene Parrish, Ruby Gene Parrish, Dewey, Mac and Clifton Siddons.
She is survived by: her children, Diane Wood (Mike), Barbara Dowtin (Tommy Nix), Carolyn Black (Fred), Linda Ransone (Jimmy), Suzanne Henderson (Rob) and Audra Atherton (Ian); and her sisters, Nelda Irene Parrish and Shirley Parrish Burton (Linwood) of Sandy Hook, Virginia..
