He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Willard Fields Sr. and Zanie Trent Fields; his grandparents, Willard, Ruby Fields, Robert and Katie Trent; and his brother Harold Willard "Buddy" Fields.
He is survived by: his great grandchild Boy; his wife Rebecca Marion Fields; his children, Becky Fields Shumaker (Mike Mahone), Edwin Douglas Fields Jr. (Eddie) and Timothy Michael Fields; his stepchildren, Danny Dandridge (Lisa), Teri Dizon and Richard English; his grandchildren, Brandon Shumaker (Maddie), Kaitlin Shumaker, Kenley, Kiley, Trey Fields, Hadley Swift (Allen), Harris Cole, Michael Fields, Hunter Wood, Savannah Dizon, Zachary, Ryan and Abby Mahone; his great grandchild William Jennings Shumaker; his brother Richard; his sister-in-law Teri Fields; and his nephew Matthew Fields. He is also survived by niece, and several nephews, other family members and friends.
