It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Douglas McArthur Teal Sr. of Powhatan, Virginia, born in Charleston, South Carolina, who passed away on January 26, 2021, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Henry Blease and Dollie Teal; his wife Ellen Denny Teal; his sister Vivian Sowell of Hartsville, S. C.; his sons, Douglas M. Teal Jr. of Lumberton, N. C. and Jeffrey Alan Teal of Lumberton, N. C.; his stepson Jeff L. Denny of Wake Forest, N. C.; and his grandsons, Douglas Teal, Jack and Brooks Denny. He was also cherished by many nephews, nieces and numerous friends.
He was a member of the Masonic Lodge #669 in Kernersville, N.C. Should you wish to honor him, donations may be made to St. Jude or The Shriners' Hospital.
