It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Christine Mitchell (Powhatan, Virginia), who passed away on July 19, 2021, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Carl Walton and Estelle Batchelor Walton of Powhatan; her former husband Perry Johnson, Sr.; and her daughter Patricia. She is survived by: her children, Carl Jr., Perry Jr., Carnell, Priscilla, Michael, Leonard, Freddie and Debbie; her nieces, Diane Cox, Shirley Ward, Rose Jones, Sissy and Lydia; her nephew Glenn; her husband James Mitchell (Jim); her sister Fannie Brown of Powhatan; and her siblings-in-law, Freddie Taylor of Owings Mill, Louise Robertson, Rose Davis (Harvey) of Richmond and Mattie McCoy of Richmond. She is also survived by loving nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives, and friends.
