It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Carl L. Brown Sr. of Powhatan, Virginia, who passed away on March 22, 2022, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his mother Gracie Bell (Caroline Brown); his children, Carl Lee Brown Jr. (Rose) of Conyers, GA, Colleen Evans (Kenneth) of Petersburg, VA and Karen Jasper of Powhatan, VA; and his grandchildren, Rodericko Brown, Qunicy Brown, Jewel Simmons (James) and Harvey Carter.
He is survived by: his great grandchildren, Erica Johnson, Caleigh Brown, Rodericko Brown Jr., Eric Johnson, Nadiya Carter and Emani Carter; his sister-in-law Queen Reed; and his close friend John Edwards.
