It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Orvetta Ruth McGlothin of Pounding Mill, Virginia, who passed away on May 8, 2022, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Orvis H. Day and Leota Ruth Scott Day; her husband Harry McGlothin; and her son Kelly McGlothin. She is survived by: her children, Randa Myers, Brice McGlothin (Carol) and Jon Joseph McGlothin; and her sister Carman Rumer. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.
