He was predeceased by: his parents, David Oliver Hicks and Lanore Ferrell Cunningham Hicks; and his siblings, Reida Hicks, Vernon and Ronnie Hicks.
He is survived by: his wife Lynn Cooper Hicks; his children, Lynn Lowe (Jonathan) of Paintlick and Mike Hicks of Bluefield, Virginia; and his grandchildren, Michael Olivares, Brody Lowe and Sabastian Hicks.
Visitation was held on Monday, December 23rd 2024 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Hurst-Scott Funeral Home (1401 2nd St, Richlands, VA 24641). A funeral service was held on Monday, December 23rd 2024 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
