She was predeceased by: her parents, Dennis Grove and Virginia Gee Johnson Grove; her husband Johnny Reed Brakefield; her sisters, Sandy Pruitt, Velma Conner and Patricia Rickey; and her sister-in-law Joyce Sweet.
She is survived by: her daughter Heather Brakefield of Greensboro, NC; her grandchildren, Zion-Grace (Zoe) and Israel Chance (Izzy); her brother Ronnie Grove (Judy) of Richlands, VA; her siblings-in-law, Debbie, Donald Brakefield and Danny Sweet; her close friend Gracie Hulse (Dennis); her pet Abel; and her kitty Sissy. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
