He was loved and cherished by many people including: his mother Mae Shockey of Pound, VA.; his great-niece Alison Mahan; his mother-in-law Mildred B. Mullins; his sister Mary Mahan; his granddaughters, Deneen Safritt (Steve), Courtney and Mariah Safritt; and his niece Jennifer Kimoto (Greg).
