She was predeceased by: her parents, Ernst Schirmer and Ottilie Schirmer; and her sister Inge Hanisch of Ansbach, Germany.. She is survived by: her husband Lyle Bowman of Potomac Falls, VA; her children, Douglas Bowman (Patricia) of Orlando, FL and Michelle Sween (Eric) of Asbury, NJ; her grandchildren, Christopher Bowman, Kristen Semanchik, Jennifer O'Farrell and Kayla Sween; and her brother Roland Schirmer of Germany. She is also survived by 6 great-grandchildren.
