He was predeceased by: his parents, Edwin Clyde Reed (Loraine Tufts Reed) and Dale; his brother Marvin (Barbara); his son Dale; and his son-in-law Roger Storey.
He is survived by: his wife Barbara; his daughters, Loraine Reed, Phoebe Storey (CA) and Robyn Eustis (VA); his children-in-law, Gayle Reed (CA) and John Eustis (VA); and his sister-in-law Alice Overly (PA). He is also survived by seven grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
