Though Willie may no longer walk beside us, his spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Willie leaves behind.
He was predeceased by: his father Willie J. Syms Sr. of Portsmouth, VA.; and his sister Michelle Syms. He is survived by: his mother Catherine Syms; his daughters, Frances Wilson of Suffolk, VA, Ashley Southall of Newport News, VA and Ashia Southall of Chesapeake, VA; his sisters, Shelia Syms, Wilhemina Small, Pamela White and Latoya Britt (Antonio) of Portsmouth; and also, Bruce Bell and Wilbert.
Visitation was held on Friday, November 15th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Fisher Funeral Home (1520 Effingham St, Portsmouth, VA 23704). A funeral service was held on Saturday, November 16th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
