It is with great sadness that we announce the death of William P. O'Neal (Portsmouth, Virginia), who passed away on March 30, 2025, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, William Bateman O'Neal and Ida Pierce O'Neal; and his wife Lillie Mae O'Neal. He is survived by: his sons, Charles "Charley" O'Neal (Jackie), John O'Neal and Roger O'Neal; his siblings-in-law, Mary Jane Pridgen (William) and Winston Daughtry; and his grandchildren, Katelyn Kurasaka (Trent), C. J. O'Neal (Catelyn), John O'Neal, Jacqueline O'Neal, Aryanna O'Neal and Alexander O'Neal.
Viewing was held on Friday, April 4th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM at the Portsmouth Boulevard Chapel (5201 Portsmouth Blvd, Portsmouth, VA 23701). A funeral service was held on Saturday, April 5th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Sturtevant Funeral Home (5201 Portsmouth Blvd, Portsmouth, VA 23701).
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Pinecrest Baptist Church or charity of choice.
