He was predeceased by: his parents, Cornelius E. Harding and Carolyn Brown Harding; his wife Joyce; his daughter Angela Cherie; and his siblings, Cornelius "Tweezer" and Mamie.
He is survived by: his children, Lisa Harding Wilks (Brian) of Durham, William L. "Juney" Harding, Jr. (Melanie) of La Plata and Joyce "Nicole" Harding Brown (Lamar) of Charlotte; his sisters, Barbara Jean Fountain of Portsmouth, Florence Williams of Portsmouth and Carolyn Bryant (Lloyd) of Baltimore, Maryland; and his grandsons, William L. "Tre" Harding, III (Marie) and Justin Wilks.
Visitation was held on Friday, March 7th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Fisher Funeral Home (1520 Effingham St, Portsmouth, VA 23704). A funeral service was held on Saturday, March 8th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. James Episcopal Church (928 Effingham St, Portsmouth, VA 23704). A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, March 25th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Memorial Veterans Cemetery (5310 Milners Rd, Suffolk, VA 23434).
