He was predeceased by: his parents, Ida Elizabeth Johnson and William Erwin Johnson; his brother James Erwin Johnson; his father-in-law Donald Edward Large, Sr.; and his pet Bud.
He is survived by: his wife Donna Large Johnson of Chesapeake, VA; his daughter Kristi Lynn Johnson of Chesapeake, VA; his sister Wanda Jones of Denver, CO; his mother-in-law Betty Jane Deal Large of Chesapeake, VA; his siblings-in-law, Donald Edward Large, Jr. and Dottie Traweek Large of Richmond, VA; his nephews, Paul Brennan Large and Cullen Brooks Large (Emmye Donahue Large) of Richmond, VA; his great-nephew Henry Brooks Large; and his pet Blue Johnson.
Visitation will be held on Friday, April 25th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Watermark Bible Church (1200 Hodges Ferry Rd, Portsmouth, VA 23701). A memorial service will be held on Friday, April 25th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
