With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of William Arthur Rapier (Portsmouth, Virginia), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on September 20, 2024 at the age of 78. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, T. G. Rapier and Mildred; and his siblings, Louise Rapier, Joseph T. Rapier and Thomas G. Rapier (Linda).
He is survived by: his wife Joan Sexton Rapier; his children, SSgt William C. Rapier, Ryan L. Rapier (Beth) and Hillary C. Rapier Watson (Kelsey); his grandchildren, Sgt Brandon Rapier (Faith), Connor Rapier, William Rapier "Arri", Raegan Rapier, Jordyn Rapier, Haleigh Stark, Kaisey Watson and Karley Watson; his great grandchild Colton Rapier; and his siblings, James W. Rapier "Jimmy" (Benetta), Elizabeth R. Mank and Mildred V. L. Anderson "Millie" Portsmouth (Bob). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
