He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter W. Bank Jr. and Annie Repass Gaskins; his wife Patricia Jane Bank; his stepdaughter Patricia Jane Mottert; and his siblings, Larry Bank and Vivian Futhrell.

He is survived by: his children, Melanie Nelson, Walter W. Bank IV and Daryl Bank; his brothers, Tommy Futhrell, Jimmy Bank and Earle Bank; his grandchildren, Regan, Chelsae, Mason, Kelsey, Nikki, Neal, Jackson and Vivian; his great grandchildren, Mattie, Aidan, Sophia, Colton and Parker; and his close friend Gary Mills.
