With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Roger D. Crittenden Jr. of Portsmouth, Virginia, who passed away on April 7, 2025 at the age of 54. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As Roger departs from this earthly realm, his essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Roger may no longer walk beside us, his spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Roger leaves behind.
He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Leo Facenda, Sr., Estelle Martinette Facenda, Paul Crittenden Sr. and Hilda Crittenden. He is survived by: his parents, Roger Dale Crittenden Sr. and Phyllis Ann Facenda Crittenden; his sister Shannon Crittenden-Mann (Ron Mann); his niece Alexandra Elizabeth Damron (William Damron); and his partner Rossi Ivanova. He is also survived by his family, but a community of friends.
Visitation was held on Monday, April 14th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 9:50 AM at the Portsmouth Boulevard Chapel (5201 Portsmouth Blvd, Portsmouth, VA 23701). A funeral service was held on Monday, April 14th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
