He was predeceased by: his parents, James Ballentine Early, Sr. and Mildred Claire Early; and his siblings, Frances Early Tuck, James Ballentine Early, Jr. and Gerald Lee Early.
He is survived by: his wife Martha Ellen Tierney Early; his daughters, Ellen Lynn Early of Chesapeake, VA and Mary Paige Early Phillips (Jonathan); and his grandchildren, Jonathan Scott Phillips, Jr., Caroline Darden Phillips and William Charles Phillips of Raleigh, NC..
A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, February 27th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Portsmouth Women's Club (304 Sycamore Rd, Portsmouth, VA 23707).
