She was predeceased by: her siblings, Lula and George; and her nephew George (late Patrick Payne). She is survived by: her niece Jocelyn C. Herbert (Rodney); her nephews, Lannis B. Currie (Ingrid), Ronald A. Currie (Sandra) and Morris D. Currie (Ebony); her cousin James Frink (Shirley); her sister-in-law Bettie Currie-Tonic; and her friend Rev. Diann M. Beard.
Visitation was held on Friday, May 2nd 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Fisher Funeral Home (1520 Effingham St, Portsmouth, VA 23704). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 3rd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Olive Branch Baptist Church (2608 Airline Blvd, Portsmouth, VA 23701).
