She was predeceased by: her parents, Erma Hoggard and Russell Hoggard. She is survived by: her family Phyllis; her husband Jack Thomas Walker of Portsmouth, Virginia.; her sister Yvonne Teresa Hoggard-Brown; her daughters, Selena Teresa Walker-Banks (Charles Banks, I), Melina Devan Walker-Kissick (Eli Kissick) and Jaclyn Teresa Walker; her grandchildren, Dr. Charles Banks, III, Chelsea Banks-King, Eden Kissick, Raiden Kissick, Sierra Kissick and Prada Rose Walker; her nephew Kendall Brown; her children, Leatha Ballard, Phyllis Cooper, Aisha Granger, Annie Groves, Ebony Hudson, Dr. Velvet Smith, Latonya Robertson, Yolanda Thomas and Antoine Jones; her grandson Justice Ballard; her close friend Wanza Dodson; and also, Wanza Dodson, Dr. Bertha Escoffery and Heidi Harris.
