Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Patrick Henderson of Portsmouth, Virginia, who passed away at the age of 92, on February 8, 2025. He was predeceased by: his parents, W. O. Henderson and Lucretia Henderson; his wife Myrtle Leigh Henderson; his son-in-law Darryl Phelps; and his siblings, J. B. and Ruth.
He is survived by: his children, DeeAnn (Jim) and Steve (Alicia); his grandchildren, Steven Henderson (Kelli), Jamey Corbett, Matt Corbett (Kirsten) and Morgan Phelps Timko (Jimmy); and his great grandchildren, Mia Henderson, Preston Corbett, Cayden and Cam Derrick. He is also survived by numerous nephews, nieces, great nephews and nieces.
Visitation was held on Friday, February 14th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the West Side Christian Church (535 Cherokee Rd, Portsmouth, VA 23701). A funeral service was held on Friday, February 14th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, February 14th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens (4569 Shoulders Hill Rd, Suffolk, VA 23435).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to West Side Christian Church Scholarship Fund, 535 Cherokee Road, Portsmouth, VA 23701.
