The memory of Nancy Jane Mitchell (Portsmouth, Virginia), born in Martinsville, Virginia, who passed away on September 28, 2024 at the age of 79, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. She was predeceased by: her husband Paul M. Mitchell; her parents, Nellie and John; and her siblings, John Henry, Ruth, Pete, James and Nellie Jean.
She is survived by: her daughter Kristie; her granddaughter Marissa (Austin); her great grandchildren, Hanley and Finnegan; and her siblings, Eva Meeks (Butch) and David Allen (Lynette). She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and various other family and friends.
Viewing will be held on Friday, October 4th 2024 from 6:30 PM to 8:00 PM at the Portsmouth Boulevard Chapel (5201 Portsmouth Blvd, Portsmouth, VA 23701). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 5th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Sturtevant Funeral Home (5201 Portsmouth Blvd, Portsmouth, VA 23701).
