She was predeceased by: her parents, John Holmes and Lorraine Holmes; her husband James W. Turner; and her son-in-law Terry Dettmer. She is survived by: her children, Karen T. Dettmer, Christy Forrest, Steven W. Turner and David R. Turner; her grandchildren, Lisa Suter (Brian), Steven Turner, Jr. (Kathy), Michael Dettmer (Gabriella), Rachel Gillerlain, Zachary Gillerlain (Katy) and James Dettmer (Alicia); her great grandchildren, Brandon, Lauren, Rebecca, Hannah, Zoey, Noah and Wesley; and her pet Honey Rose.
Viewing was held on Sunday, October 27th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 3:30 PM at the Portsmouth Boulevard Chapel (5201 Portsmouth Blvd, Portsmouth, VA 23701). A funeral service was held on Monday, October 28th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A reception was held on Monday, October 28th 2024 from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM at 5100 Portsmouth Blvd, Portsmouth, VA 23701.
