Though Maria Theresia may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Maria Theresia touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas Schenten and Anna Schenten; and her son David Earl Sutton. She is survived by: her husband Linwood Earl Sutton; her sons, Linwood Thomas Sutton (Rosa) and Leo Sutton (Cynthia Ives); her siblings, Bregite Lobens and Werner Schenten; and her grandchildren, Emily Sutton, Adam Sutton and Amy Anderson. She is also survived by two great grandchildren.
Viewing will be held on Thursday, February 27th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM at the Portsmouth Boulevard Chapel (5201 Portsmouth Blvd, Portsmouth, VA 23701). A funeral Mass will be held on Friday, February 28th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Therese Catholic Church (4137 Portsmouth Blvd, Chesapeake, VA 23321).
