She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Clarence Downing Carlisle and Frances Carlisle; her husband Thomas McVicker; her daughters, Amber Edmondson (Brian Edmondson) and Cinnamon Carlisle; her grandchildren, Brittanni Phillips (Jaimie Phillips), April Garrett (Robert Garrett), Ryan Edwards (Elizabeth King) and Alex Edmondson; her great grandchildren, Emma Edwards, Jessie Bates, Blake Bates, Kyle Edwards, Aiden Garrett, Carter Garrett, Brianna Edwards, Ryanna Edwards and Everleigh Edwards; and her brother Kenneth Carlisle.
A celebration of life was held on Sunday, January 19th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Loving Funeral Home Churchland Chapel (3225 Academy Ave, Portsmouth, VA 23703).
