She was predeceased by: her husband Dennis Carter; and her son Keenan Sellers. She is survived by: her parents, Retha Sellers and James Sellers (Jeannette); her children, Roshawn, Dexter Sellers, LaKita Simmons and Deniesha Carter; her siblings, Preston Sellers (Verna), James Goodman, Judy Sellers Kemp (Nathaniel), Leslie Sellers Scott (Willie), Jacinta Harmon (Donald) and Lilia McGee (Deon); her daughter-in-law Shonda Fountain; her aunt Annette Jenkins; and her grandchildren, Cheree, Aniya, Desire, Keyona, Anthony (AJ), Brandon, Karlos, Keyon and Amir. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, November 26th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Metropolitan Funeral Service (5605 Portsmouth Blvd, Portsmouth, VA 23701).
