He was predeceased by: his parents, James Thomas Rodgers Sr. and Shirley Frances Rodgers; and his brother Danny Lee Rodgers. He is survived by: his children, Samantha Rodgers Wood (Travis Wood) and Kurtis Rodgers (Heather Belvin); and his sisters, Linda Rodgers, Tammie Breslin, Debbie Weller and Brenda Waller. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren; and many extended family and special friends.
A reception was held on Friday, December 20th 2024 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Sturtevant Event Center (5100 Portsmouth Blvd, Portsmouth, VA 23701).
