She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas Abernathy and Theresa Abernathy; and her siblings, LaVern Theus, Harvey and Thomas Abernathy.
She is survived by: her husband Ruben; her son Frankie "Jay" Dunn Jr. (Alicia); her stepdaughter Monica Martin (Dexter); her son Jordan (Ashley); her grandchild Asher; her stepson Ruben "Ben" Porter Jr. (Nakia); her stepgrandchildren, Leana, Amara and Xolani; and her siblings, Christine Abernathy and Micheal (Karen). She is also survived by loving nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
Viewing was held on Monday, September 30th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Metropolitan Funeral Service (5605 Portsmouth Blvd, Portsmouth, VA 23701). A celebration of life will be held on Tuesday, October 1st 2024 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
