It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Donald Edward Large Sr. (Portsmouth, Virginia), who passed away on November 7, 2024, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Julius Dewey Large and Mary Pinter Large; and his siblings, Julius, Wilfred, Alfred, Paul, Elizabeth, Doris and Harriet.
He is survived by: his wife Betty Jane; his children, Donna (Joey) and Donald, Jr. (Dorothy); his grandchildren, Kristi, Paul and Cullen (Emmye); and his great grandchild Brooks.
Viewing was held on Monday, November 11th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Cradock Baptist Church (96 Afton Pkwy, Portsmouth, VA 23702). A funeral service was held on Monday, November 11th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
