He was predeceased by: his parents, Joe H. Dabney and Emma F. Dabney; his wife Betty B. Dabney; his brother Jack B. Dabney; his great grandchild Tanner Trigg; his niece Valerie White; and his nephew Drew Smith.
He is survived by: his children, Kimberly Alder (Clifton) of Chesapeake, Charles Eugene Dabney, II of Chesapeake and Pattyann Hardt of Fort Worth. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild.
Visitation was held on Thursday, December 19th 2024 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the Loving Funeral Home Churchland Chapel (3225 Academy Ave, Portsmouth, VA 23703). A procession was held on Thursday, December 19th 2024 at the Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens (4569 Shoulders Hill Rd, Suffolk, VA 23435).
Memorial contributions in his name may be made to Wounded Warrior Project or St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
