It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Cesar E. Rivera III (Portsmouth, Virginia), born in Bronx, New York, who passed away on December 9, 2024, at the age of 51, leaving to mourn family and friends. In the vast expanse of eternity, Cesar shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Cesar farewell, his loved ones carry with them the precious gift of his memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
He was loved and cherished by many people including: his friend Nakisha Aviles-Broadnax; his wife Nakisha Rivera; his daughters, Kaeshauna Williams-Rivera (Deandra) of Portsmouth, VA and Saniya Rivera of Norfolk, VA; his stepdaughters, Justina Broadnax of Frederick, MD and Je'nee Broadnax of Frederick, MD; his mother Elnora Mullen Rivera of Portsmouth, VA; his brothers, Antoine Rivera of Kansas City, MO and Bryan Rivera (Jenny) of Okinawa, Japan; and also Julius Shern.
Viewing will be held on Sunday, December 22nd 2024 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Metropolitan Funeral Service (5605 Portsmouth Blvd, Portsmouth, VA 23701). A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, December 22nd 2024 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
