With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Carlton C. Griffin Jr. (Portsmouth, Virginia), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on November 17, 2024 at the age of 70. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Carlton Cornelius Sr. and Norma Arethia Griffin; his wife Velma Griffin; his children, Jeremiah Valentine and Tiffany Griffin of Portsmouth; his grandchildren, Jermariya Valentine, TyJai Griffin and Tennielle Cross; his great grandchildren, My'Lee, De'Mari Williams and Mc'Kenzie Nixon; his siblings, Keith Griffin (Jennifer) of McDonough and Tina Bagby (David) of Portsmouth Va; his mother-in-law Pinky Lawrence; and his siblings-in-law, Linda Hughes (Charlie) of Shiloh, NC, Gay Garris of Chesapeake, VA., Louis Garris, Lester Garris Junius Elliott (Lillian), Bernard Lawrence Antonio Lawrence (Alicia), Ralph Lawrence and Melvin Lawrence.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 21st 2024 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Fisher Funeral Home (1520 Effingham St, Portsmouth, VA 23704). A graveside service will be held on Friday, November 22nd 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Greenlawn Memorial Gardens (3920 Airline Blvd, Chesapeake, VA 23321).
