She is survived by: her significant other Sam A Howard, Jr.; her children, Lisa H. Coffey (John) and Sam A. Howard III (Jill); and her siblings, Joyce Saunders, Deborah Crosby and Johnny R. Gunnell. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandson.
Viewing was held on Tuesday, January 21st 2025 from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM at the Portsmouth Boulevard Chapel (5201 Portsmouth Blvd, Portsmouth, VA 23701). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, January 22nd 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
