She was predeceased by: her husband Joseph W. Carney, Jr.; her parents, Madonna W. Bennett and Houston W. Bennett; and her sisters, Di Fulgham and Frannie Lewin.
She is survived by: her son Joseph W. Carney III (Tina S. Carney); her grandchildren, Addy and Logan; her sisters, Bit Bennett, Kitty Frederick and Susie Harrell; and her cousin Woodie Cullings. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins.
A celebration of life will be held on Friday, December 27th 2024 at 4:00 PM at the Loving Funeral Home Churchland Chapel (3225 Academy Ave, Portsmouth, VA 23703).
