He is survived by: his great grandchild Ava Simone; his mother-in-law Annie Laura Ferguson; his children, William V. Carter, III and Michele K. Carter; his grandson Barry M. Smith, Jr. (Candice); his great grandchildren, Justin Smith and Ava Simone Smith; his brothers-in-law, Anthony Ferguson (Tony) of Bowling Green, VA. and Michael Gray of Fredericksburg, VA.; his son Nguyen (family: Christy T. Nguyen, Richson Nguyen, Ryan Nguyen); and his close friends, Bow, Kenny, Eddie, Charles and James. He is also survived by beautiful nieces, nephews and cousins.
