He was predeceased by: his parents, Fannie and Freddie Brooks, Sr.; his siblings, Walter Garnett and Mary Ollie Taylor; his nephew Andre Brooks; and his great-nephew CJ Carrington.
He is survived by: his children, Joseph L. Brooks, Jr. (Rita) of Glen Allen, VA and Danielle Brooks (Amp) of Glen Allen, VA; his grandchildren, Malia of Glen Allen, VA, Montrell of Glen Allen, VA, Lauren of Glen Allen, VA and Aliyah Brooks of Glen Allen, VA; his siblings, Emma Wallace (Marvin), Fannie Woolfolk (David), Gladys Johnson (Stanley), Freddie Brooks (Jackie), Lee Brooks (Regina) and Charles Wayne Brooks (Leslie); his aunts, Mary Garnett and Esther Holmes; and his close friend Stephanie Lumpkin of King George, VA.. He is also survived by his two aunts, cousins, and friends.
Seating will be limited total of 125 people max and face mask is required.
