He was predeceased by: his son Emmett C. Farmer; his granddaughter Anna Harmon; and his siblings, Bowie Samuel, Selma Whitfield, Gaynelle Farmer and Edwin Farmer.
He is survived by: his great grandchild Joshua Emmett Harmon. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
