He was predeceased by: his parents, Melvin Clark and Edna Arlene Diehl (Simmers). He is survived by: his wife Nancy Elizabeth Eye; his children, Darryll Diehl (Cindy), Dana Burtner (Dan) and Sherry Nelson (Olin); his siblings, Phyllis Hensley, Kenneth Diehl (Delores) and Meredith Diehl; his grandchildren, Travis Nelson, Katie Nelson, Marcus Diehl (Krista), Trent Diehl (Alexandra), Nathaniel Morris (Mariah Novotne) and Shelby Morris; and his great grandchildren, Luke, Lane, Virginia and Mildred.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests all memorial contributions be made to the Dayton American Legion Post #27, P.O. Box 271, Dayton, VA 22821.
