He is survived by: his wife Ada Marie Beery; his children, Marie Showalter (Nelson) of Port Republic, Nelson Rodes (Dawn) of Port Republic, Glenn Rodes (Sheri) of Port Republic and Allen Rodes (Krista) of Port Republic; his grandchildren, Marlan Showalter, Sherman Showalter, Marilla Melcher, Evan Showalter, Gary Rodes, Justin Rodes, Adam Rodes, Kelsie Garber, Cara Rodes, Erica Rodes, Lorna Knicely, Brady Rodes and Corina Rodes; his siblings, Martha Burkholder of Mt. Crawford, Adin Rodes (Verna) of Bridgewater, Rhoda Bennett (Frank) of Hinton and Ruby Beachey (Wendell) of Mt. Crawford; and his sister-in-law Betty Rodes of Harrisonburg.
