She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Landon and Ruby Elliott (Johnson); and her husband William W. Finley Jr. (Bill). She is survived by: her children, John Finley (Linda Girardi) of Fletcher, NC, Walter Gordon Finley (Tatyana Finley) of Charlottesville, VA, Martha Finley Curt (Walter Curt) of Port Republic, VA, James Finley (Lisa Finley) of Griswold, CT, William Finley (Yvonne Finley) of Anchorage, AK and Charles Finley (Elizabeth Finley) of Boise, ID; her daughter-in-law Patricia Hembree Finley of Ocean Isle, NC.; and her siblings, Eugene Elliott (Ruth) and Martha Woodard. She is also survived by 15 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
