She was predeceased by: her parents, James Kirk and Nancy Virginia Shroyer Bain; her sister Rachel Ross Bain; and her brother-in-law Sam Cook. She is survived by: her daughter Hope Cook Wong (Kai); her siblings, Ginny Allen, Nana Corley, Ellie Gathright (Tim), Sarah McGahee (Steve) and Lindy Bain (Kristen); and her siblings-in-law, Robin Painter, Julie Cook, Chip Cook and David Cook (Janet). She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, November 8th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Kyger Funeral Home - Harrisonburg (3173 Spotswood Trail, Harrisonburg, VA 22801). A memorial service was held on Saturday, November 9th 2024 at 11:30 AM at the Grace Covenant Church (3337 Emmaus Rd, Harrisonburg, VA 22801).
